Sector JADF urged to have bank accounts

One of the sectors in Gisagara district has embarked on solving its administarial problems by opening bank accounts to collect funds for JADF (Joint Action Development Forum) activities.

This comes to life after it was revealed that JADF committees in all sectors of Gisagara district face difficulty in their Operations due to lack of labour supervisor and enough funds.

During the meeting, JADF in all sectors were advised to adopt this system of using bank accounts to collect money from development partners in the development of their areas.

The president of JADF in Gishubi sector, Jérôme Semanzi asserts that it has been not easy to carry out any development activity without financial budget.

However, to help Gishubi residents develop, an account was opened in Umurenge SACCO and fixed money that development partners have to pay depending on their capacity, he adds.

A lot of activities like donating for the poor, building classrooms, and giving allowances to the participants in case a meeting is called have been easy, Semanzi explains.

Mamba sector administration also opened up an account which helps them in the running of their development activities.

Mrs. Lucie Uwihanganye, worker at Mamba sector confirms that the money they raised from development partners through the bank account enabled them shift five residents from grass thatched houses into the village settlement.

Also, we gathered Rwf200.000 that bought sand during the construction of 12year basic education classrooms and others.

During the training, development partners were sensitised on participating in contributing for JADF activities.
