Before the present government, we lived in wilderness; surviving on the animals we count hunt as well as making clay for pottery for generations. Today we have experienced civilization, we live with other people, we have access to infrastructure, our children go to school and we no longer live like animals we hunted.

Ndijene Ndigabo says the historically marginalized managed to live like people because of president kagame

This was along speech made by Ndijene Ndigabo, one of the historically Marginalized people in Byumba sector of Gicumbi district arguing for the change of Article 101 of the constitution. The Historically Marginalized argued for the change of Article 101 so as to give a chance to President Kagame to stand for presidency after the end of his 2nd term in the office in 2017 during the recent debate with the parliamentarians.

For the historically marginalized, having President Paul Kagame as the president for many years in the future is the only chance for them to keep living as people in civilization. “For it is only him who thought of us and brought us from the wilderness to live like the rest of Rwandans,” says Ndijene Ndigabo.

Just like Ndigabo, the other historically people say President Kagame deserves to be trusted with the future of Rwandans for stopping the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis and bridging peace, unity and reconciliation in Rwandans thereafter and promoting all Rwandans despite their tribes.

Among other things the historically marginalized boast of include Education for All, getting free accommodation in infrastructure secure villages as well as receiving cows in Girinka Munyarwanda program.
