Two familes Of Burundian civilians have fled into Rwanda from the republic of Burundi nation for fear of their lives.
Bugarama sector in Rusizi district received four people comprised of two familes includingtwo women and four children.
The refugees say they have left their homes because they are afraid of the violence that could erupt in the run up to Burundi’s presidential elections in June.
These two families comes following others over 500 Burundians who have so far fled to Rwanda since last month through various border points.
“We have been terrified. At night strangers throw stones at our houses, they beat us, saying we are opposed to the ruling party. Having seen that we realized that we were in danger that compelled us to seek for safety in Rwanda”said Jeannette Uwibambe.
