Residents in Ngoma sector commit to implement performance contracts per household
Last year, Ngoma sector in Nyaruguru district performed better in the implementation of performance contracts as it scooped the second position in the district.
Jules Habumugisha, executive secretary of Ngoma sector attributed the improvement to relentless efforts by local leaders and residents who, he said, worked together in implementing the district’s targets.
“We have worked so hard to get the second position unlike last year when we ranked tenth position. We still need to improve our performance, we might top the list in 2014-2015 performance contracts,” he revealed.
Ngoma is one of the 14 sectors that make Nyaruguru district.
The improvement is seen in the district as a major achievement, which, for the sector’s leadership, signals an improvement in people’s welfare.
Eliezer Kaberuka, a resident of Ururambo village, Mbuye cell in Ngoma sector confirmed that residents played a big part in helping the sector administration to come second in 2013-2014 performance contracts.
Another resident Gaudiose Uwimana added that residents present to the leaders what they want settled in their areas of residences, saying it becomes easier for the sector to perform well in performance contracts when home performance contracts are executed.
“Because every home has performance contracts, residents strive to implement them. This enables Cells and sector administrations to successfully implement performance contracts and get a better position,” she asserted.
