Rwanda has reviewed and updatedits immigration visa regulation that is expected to take effect on 1st November 2014.
According to the statement from Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration the citizens from the east African partner states will continue to receive the 6 months visitors pass renewed at entry points with no fee.
The new policy as approved by the cabinet on 15th October 2014 will also see citizens from the Democratic republic of Congo-DRC continue getting visitor’s visa for a stay not exceeding 90 days with no fee.
“Citizensof Singapore, Mauritius, and Philippinesand Hong Kong will continue to beexemptedfrom touristvisa for a stay of 90 days,” the statement read
The directorate also indicated that nationals fromAfrican countries not exempted from Visa fee will continue receiving entry visa at the country’s entry points which include land borders points and the Kigaliinternational airport.
The statement noted that citizens from Australia, Germany, Israel, NewZealand, Republic of South Africa, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the US shall get entry visa and pay upon arrival at an entry point. The entry visa for the above countriesis $30 and will be valid for 30 days.
Nationalsof the mentioned countries may also obtain visasat Rwanda Diplomatic missions (except the UN mission in New York)and Online.
